Pray First // With Thankful Hearts + Camp News!
“Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.” —Psalm 100:4–5
Thanksgiving is not just a holiday on the calendar—it is the language of God’s people. From Genesis to Revelation, we see that gratitude is at the heart of true worship.
In Psalm 136, each verse ends with the refrain, “for his steadfast love endures forever,” reminding us that every act of thanksgiving is anchored not in what we have materially, but in the character of our God. Paul echoes this in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, urging us to “give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
When we give thanks, we are confessing that God’s character is unchanging even when life is uncertain. We are declaring that Christ Himself is the greatest gift, the One in whom every promise of God finds its “Yes” (2 Corinthians 1:20). Gratitude guards our hearts from grumbling, lifts our eyes from ourselves, and draws us deeper into joy in the Lord.
WAYS TO PRAY WITH THANKSGIVING
-
Thank God for His steadfast love that endures forever (Psalm 136:1).
-
Thank Him for His daily provision and care (Matthew 6:11).
-
Thank Him for the privilege of serving together in the gospel (Philippians 1:3–5).
LOOKING AHEAD
The spring camp season is just around the corner and we are so excited to share some new updates coming soon!
Introducing our 2026 theme… ROOTED
This theme gets its—well, roots—from Ephesians 3:17-19 which reads, ”That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God”
We are currently working on a website refresh and are stocking the camp store with t-shirts and hats designed with our new theme logo!
Our Maranatha events calendar is full of opportunities both to fellowship and serve with fellow believers, and all registrations are scheduled to open November 12th, so mark your calendars and register early!
